As *inZOI* progresses through its Early Access phase, players have discovered a disturbing glitch enabling them to run over children with vehicles. A video posted on the *inZOI* subreddit on March 28, titled "I don't think that Krafton realizes that you can run over children in inZOI," showcased a player using a car to send a child flying an incredible distance, ultimately resulting in the child's demise.

While the developers had previously stated in the *inZOI* Online Showcase that characters, known as Zois, could be killed by vehicular accidents, they never suggested this would extend to children. In response, a Krafton spokesperson told Eurogamer on March 28 that this was an unintended bug, now fixed in the latest patch.

The statement from Krafton reads, "These depictions are highly inappropriate and do not reflect the intent and values of *inZOI*. We understand the seriousness of this matter and the importance of age-appropriate content, and we are strengthening our internal review processes to prevent similar incidents in the future." Given *inZOI*'s ESRB rating of T for Teen, removing this bug was crucial to maintain the game's intended age rating and avoid potential reclassification.

*inZOI* has garnered a "Very Positive" review rating on Steam, largely due to its detailed and high-quality graphics. However, *inZOI*'s Game Director, Hyungjun 'Kjun' Kim, expressed in an interview with PCGamesN on March 31 that the game's hyper-realistic approach comes with its challenges.

Kjun noted, "This was something we thought about a lot. With such realistic graphics, we constantly questioned how far we should take that realism. At times, we wanted to incorporate comical or lighthearted elements, but they didn’t quite fit with the grounded visuals, which was a bit disappointing sometimes."

Kjun has previously praised *The Sims 4* for its charming and goofy identity, which sets it apart in the life-simulation genre. Yet, *inZOI*'s realistic style makes it challenging to integrate similar playful elements. Despite this, Kjun remains optimistic about *inZOI*'s approach, stating, "We believe this level of immersive graphics will resonate with players and, throughout development, we’ve felt both proud and excited to bring this world to life."

While *inZOI* surpasses *The Sims 4* in terms of detail and quality, the developers are still searching for a unique identity to establish *inZOI* as a formidable competitor in the life-simulation market.
