PlayTwo years after its initial launch in February 2023, *Atomic Heart* has reached a major milestone with over 10 million players across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.

Although the number reflects player count rather than sales, it remains a notable success for developer Mundfish, marking the game’s widespread appeal and engagement. Upon release, Atomic Heart quickly gained attention as a standout AAA debut from a previously unknown studio, impressing both players and critics alike.

The game is set in an alternate reality during the peak of the Soviet Union, blending first-person action with deep narrative elements and stunning visual design. We praised its ambitious atompunk aesthetic and creative world-building in our review, awarding it an 8, noting that while it had its flaws, it "punches well above its weight."

Mundfish credits Atomic Heart with raising the bar for cinematic presentation and visual fidelity in modern first-person shooters. The title went on to receive over 60 “Best of the Year” nominations and awards, further cementing its place in the FPS genre.

In addition to its critical acclaim, Atomic Heart expanded its narrative universe through three story-driven DLCs, with a fourth currently [ttpp] in development. These expansions have allowed players to dive even deeper into the eerie, dystopian world the team built from the ground up.

Looking ahead, Mundfish is now launching a new initiative called Mundfish Powerhouse, a dedicated games support service aimed at helping developers and investors bring unique and innovative titles to market. This move signals the studio's ambition to not only continue evolving its own projects but also to empower others in the gaming industry.
