Get ready for an exciting addition to the acclaimed strategy video game, Wingspan, with the highly anticipated Asia Expansion slated for release later this year. Although the exact launch date remains under wraps, the expansion promises an enriching experience with a host of new features, including a diverse selection of birds from across Asia, a thrilling new game mode, and captivating new sceneries inspired by the region's landscapes.

Here Are the Full Details on Wingspan Asia Expansion

The Wingspan Asia Expansion is set to introduce stunning new elements from various parts of Asia. Players can look forward to encountering beautiful birds from India, China, and Japan, each with unique abilities and intriguing trivia that enhance the gameplay experience.

This expansion will add 13 new bonus cards, with two specifically tailored for Automa, enhancing the solo play experience and making it more engaging and challenging.

Visually, the expansion will be a treat with four new, breathtaking backgrounds inspired by Asia's diverse landscapes. Additionally, eight new player portraits will be introduced, each reflecting local cultural influences, adding a personal touch to your gameplay.

One of the most exciting additions is the Duet Mode, designed for an intense one-on-one Wingspan experience. Players will compete on a special Duet Map, vying for habitat spaces and striving to meet different end-of-round goals, making each match a strategic showdown.

The audio experience is also set to be upgraded with four new relaxing music tracks composed by Paweł Górniak, enhancing the ambiance and setting the perfect mood for your bird-watching and strategizing sessions.

Tried the Game Yet?

Wingspan, adapted from Elizabeth Hargrave's popular card-based board game, made its digital debut on PC in 2020, followed by mobile versions in 2021. In the game, players aim to attract the best birds to their wildlife preserve, creating powerful combinations that enhance their strategy. With a limited number of turns, players must carefully manage food, egg-laying, and card draws, while the birds they collect mimic their real-life behaviors—hawks hunting, pelicans fishing, and geese flocking.

While awaiting the release of the Asia Expansion, fans can explore the existing European and Oceania expansions by downloading the game from the Google Play Store.
