Jump King, the notorious 2D platformer known for challenging gamers' patience and precision, has now made its way to mobile devices. Developed by Nexile and published by UKIYO Publishing, the game has been released globally for Android and iOS following a successful soft launch in the UK, Canada, the Philippines, and Denmark back in March. Originally launched on PC in 2019 and consoles in 2020, Jump King brings its signature brutal jumping mechanics to a new audience.
What’s Jump King on Mobile Like?
In Jump King, you take on the role of an armored character whose sole task is to jump. Sounds simple, right? Wrong. Each jump requires pinpoint precision; any mistake sends you plummeting back to the start. The game autosaves after every jump, adding to the tension. Your ultimate goal? To reach the top and encounter the legendary Smoking Hot Babe. But beware, she offers no mercy or shortcuts. A single miscalculated jump means starting over from the bottom.
The mobile version adapts the controls for touch screens, requiring you to hold to charge your jump and release to leap. It's a test of precision, patience, and often, panic-induced poor decisions.
What Else Should You Know?
Jump King Mobile operates on a heart-based system. You begin with 300 hearts, losing one each time you fall. To replenish your hearts, you can spin a daily fortune wheel for a chance to win between 10 and 150 hearts or watch ads, with a limit of 150 free hearts available this way.
The mobile version also includes two full expansions. "New Babe+" offers a second chapter with a unique and intense new path, while "Ghost of the Babe" takes you into a third act set in the eerie, deserted landscapes beyond Philosopher’s Forest.
If Jump King sounds like your kind of challenge, you can download it now from the Google Play Store.
