CrazyGames is set to launch its Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 this week, marking a thrilling 10-day event that runs from April 25th to May 5th. In partnership with Photon, the leading multiplayer service provider, this jam invites indie developers worldwide to dive into the creation of innovative web-based multiplayer games.
Participants in this global game development marathon have the chance to win a share of €10,000 in cash prizes and premium Photon licenses. The rewards include:
- 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year (€7,500 value)
- 500 CCU for a year (€1,500 value)
- 100 CCU for a year (€100 value)
The only strict guidelines for the event stipulate that games must be developed and submitted during the jam period and adhere to PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these requirements, developers are encouraged to let their creativity soar and explore new ideas in the realm of multiplayer gaming.
Since its inception in 2014, CrazyGames has grown to become the premier free online gaming platform, leveraging technologies like HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGL to offer seamless browser-based gaming experiences across thousands of titles. By partnering with Photon for this event, CrazyGames not only supports developers but also offers the chance for winning games to be published on their platform.
To kick off the event, a pre-jam livestream will be hosted on YouTube and LinkedIn on April 24th at 4 pm CEST. This session will provide insights into two new WebGL platforms, Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Head of Growth at Photon Engine, emphasized the potential of these platforms, stating, “Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performant multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world’s most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a good opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform.”
Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to game developers of all skill levels. Interested participants can find more information and register on the official jam page.
