Pokémon GO enthusiasts, get ready for an exciting event! The Sweet Discoveries event is on the horizon, and it's a must-attend if you're passionate about adding new Pokémon to your collection or hunting for those elusive shinies. Let's dive into all the juicy details about this upcoming event.
When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?
Mark your calendars for April 24th at 10:00 a.m., as the Sweet Discoveries event kicks off and runs until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. The highlight? The debut of Applin, a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon hailing from the Galar region.
To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. For Appletun, you'll also require 200 candies, but this time with 20 Sweet Apples. And for those looking to evolve it to Dipplin and eventually Hydrapple, keep in mind the final evolution steps.
The Apples are crucial for evolution and can be found in the wild. Tap on them, and you might encounter a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Boost your chances by using Mossy Lure Modules, which seem to attract these Apples more frequently.
Did You Know?
Applin is quite the unique Pokémon, spending its entire life inside an apple. It cleverly hides from its natural predators, bird Pokémon, by mimicking a fruit. With its adorable appearance, Applin is undoubtedly one of the cutest Pokémon in the Pokémon GO roster.
During the Sweet Discoveries event, you can snag some new avatar items from the shop, including the Applin Headband and Applin Apron. On the bonuses front, you'll enjoy 2× Candy for catching Pokémon throughout the event.
Your chances of encountering Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild will be higher. Additionally, there's an increased chance of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs.
Another delightful aspect of the event involves berries. Catch a Delibird or Skwovet, and they'll drop berries for you to collect. If you haven't yet, make sure to download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store to join in on the fun.
