Enhancing the walking skills of visually impaired children is a crucial aspect of their development, and our app, developed in collaboration with Safe Toddles, a nonprofit organization dedicated to this cause, offers a comprehensive solution. Our app features a series of meticulously crafted lessons that utilize the Pediatric Belt Cane, an innovative product designed by Safe Toddles. These lessons are tailored to help visually impaired children improve their walking and orientation skills effectively.
Children using the app will engage in specific activities designed for each lesson, allowing them to practice and refine their skills. After completing these activities, users can provide valuable feedback through detailed assessment questionnaires, ensuring continuous improvement and personalization of the learning experience.
The app integrates with a wearable IMU sensor attached to the Pediatric Belt Cane. This sensor collects and transmits IMU data to the app, which is subsequently analyzed by an advanced AI module. The AI evaluates this data to accurately determine the developmental age of each student, ensuring that the lessons are appropriately matched to their current skill level.
Through periodic assessments of the student's developmental progress, the app dynamically generates a customized set of lessons. These lessons are specifically designed to address the individual needs of each child, promoting effective learning and skill development in a way that is both engaging and supportive.
