Cross-Platform Mod Support Explained

Announced May 30, 2025 as the game's swan song update, "One More Patch" commemorates The Witcher 3's 10th anniversary following its May 2015 debut on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Subsequent releases include Nintendo Switch (2019) and next-gen Complete Editions (2022).

This free update enables cross-platform mod sharing via mod.io across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players need both CD Projekt RED and mod.io accounts to access the feature.

While existing third-party mods remain functional, console compatibility depends on platform guidelines. Script-based console mods require REDkit development, though texture/bundle mods don't.

Important note: Mod creation will remain PC-exclusive, requiring REDkit or compatible tools before cross-platform distribution.
