Urshifu Debuts in Pokémon GO's Final Strike: GO Battle Week with Gigantamax Machamp

As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO draws to a close, the Final Strike: GO Battle Week is set to commence on May 21st, 2025, and will run through until May 27th, marking the culmination of your journey with Kubfu. This exciting final week promises to bring your determined little bear to its full potential, offering the chance to evolve it into the legendary Urshifu in two distinct forms: Single Strike and Rapid Strike.

To unlock the Single Strike style, ensure Kubfu is your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style during Final Strike: GO Battle Week, follow the same process but target 30 Water-type Pokémon instead. This week is your opportunity to choose the path that best suits your battling strategy.

Additionally, a Special Research tied to the ongoing Seasonal storyline will be available until June 3rd, 2025. Engaging in this research not only continues the narrative but also rewards you with Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon like Charcadet, complete with a Special Background.

May 25th: A Special Day

Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's designated the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Gigantamax Machamp will make its debut in six-star Max Battles. Alongside this event, several bonuses will enhance your gameplay experience.

During this period, you'll need to travel only one-fourth the usual distance to earn Max Particles. The storage capacity for Max Particles will increase to 1,600, and all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles. You'll also earn 8× Max Particles from these battles and gain the ability to make two extra Special Trades.

Don't overlook the chance to collect Max Mushrooms, which temporarily double the damage output of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. While using multiple mushrooms extends the duration of the effect, the damage boost remains constant.
