Craving more of Tom Hardy and Pierce Brosnan's gripping crime drama? Eager for another season of Helen Mirren dominating the screen? Great news - Paramount+ has greenlit MobLand for Season 2.
The streaming service reports staggering viewership numbers, with 26 million tuning in since its March 30 premiere. This overwhelming response made renewal inevitable, especially with Hollywood heavyweights driving the project. Remarkably, MobLand ranks as Paramount+'s second most-watched original series.
The powerhouse ensemble features Hardy alongside Brosnan, Mirren, House of the Dragon's Paddy Considine, and Downton Abbey alumna Joanne Froggatt. The show centers on Hardy's Harry Da Souza, a fixer employed by Brosnan's crime patriarch Conrad Harrigan. The official synopsis describes "two generations of gangsters navigating their illicit empires, complex relationships, and the troubleshooter they rely on."

Paramount co-CEO Chris McCarthy praised the show's success: "MobLand has become a global sensation thanks to visionary producers Guy Ritchie, Jez Butterworth, Ronan Bennett and David C. Glasser, alongside phenomenal performances from Tom, Pierce, and Helen. After topping charts worldwide and claiming #1 status in the UK, we're thrilled to bring viewers another season."
Currently boasting a 75% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, Season 1 remains available for streaming - though Season 2's premiere date remains unannounced.
During May promotions, Hardy opened up about the physical toll of his action-heavy career. "Between Venom, Mad Max, and Batman films, my body's paying the price approaching 50," confessed the 47-year-old. "Two knee surgeries, herniated discs, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, and now a hip tendon injury - it's all deteriorating faster than I'd like."
