Monster Hunter Wilds Patch 1.000.05.00 Fixes Quest Blockers, Among Other Things — but There Are No Performance Improvements Yet

By OliverMar 16,2025

Capcom has released hotfix 1.000.05.00 for Monster Hunter Wilds across all platforms, addressing several key improvements and bug fixes. This patch tackles various progression-blocking issues and resolves numerous bugs, though it doesn't include performance enhancements.

Despite a "Mixed" user review rating on Steam, Monster Hunter Wilds has achieved phenomenal success, selling 8 million copies in just three days—making it Capcom's fastest-selling game ever. It also boasts the fifth highest concurrent player count on Steam, peaking at 1,384,608—surpassing titles like Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring. This is a significant jump from Monster Hunter: World's peak of 334,684 players.

A major title update is planned for early April, introducing a new endgame area and expanding monster hunting content.
