Cyberpunk 2077 got patch 2.21, added NVIDIA DLSS 4 and got even more technologically advanced

CD Projekt RED has recently rolled out an exciting update for Cyberpunk 2077, bringing not just a slew of fixes but also integrating cutting-edge NVIDIA technology. This update marks a significant enhancement for players, especially those equipped with the latest hardware.

A standout feature of this update is the introduction of DLSS 4 support. Starting January 30th, owners of GeForce RTX 50 graphics cards will benefit from this technology, which enables the generation of multiple additional frames. This advancement isn't limited to the RTX 50 series; DLSS 4 also accelerates the creation of an extra frame on both RTX 50 and 40 cards, all while optimizing memory usage.

For all GeForce RTX graphics card users, the update offers the flexibility to choose between the traditional convolution neural network model and the innovative transform model for DLSS Ray Reconstruction, DLSS Super Resolution, and DLAA. The transform model promises enhanced lighting, finer details, and more stable imagery, elevating the visual experience to new heights.

This update also addresses several technical issues, including resolving interference and crashes that occurred with DLSS ray reconstruction enabled. Additionally, the "Frame Creation" parameter now correctly updates after turning off resolution scaling, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience.

Key Changes in Update 2.21 for Cyberpunk 2077:

  • Fixed a bug that prevented interactions with certain vendors.
  • Resolved an issue where TV news audio was either missing or too low.
  • Addressed a problem where Johnny appeared in the passenger seat less frequently than intended.
  • Corrected a glitch causing some items to vanish when players hid surrounding characters.
  • Fixed a freezing issue that occurred when entering photo mode and accessing a closet or stash simultaneously.
  • Enhanced Photo Mode, allowing players to position Nibbles and Adam Smasher in the frame when Vee is airborne or submerged.
  • Improved the feature controlling Adam Smasher's facial expressions for a more dynamic visual effect.

With these enhancements and fixes, Cyberpunk 2077 continues to evolve, offering an even more immersive and visually stunning experience for players across different hardware platforms.
