Tute Cabrero is a widely beloved card game across South America
This game accommodates 3 to 5 players competing individually, with no team play involved.
The goal involves either accumulating the highest points (going for more) or the fewest (going for less), where coming in second place means losing. Players use a 40-card Spanish deck.
Card rankings from highest to lowest are: Ace (11 points), 3 (10 points), King (4 points), Knight (3 points), Jack (2 points), while 7, 6, 5, 4 and 2 carry no point value.
The opening card of each trick establishes the lead suit, and all participants must follow suit when possible. When lacking that suit, players may discard any card. Trump cards always take the trick. Without trumps, the highest card in the lead suit wins.
