• Players and Cards: Three players use a standard 52-card deck (no jokers). Card values: Ace (1 point), Jacks, Queens, Kings (10 points each), others at face value.

• Sets and Runs: Sets are three or four cards of the same rank (e.g., 3 ♥, 3 ♣, 3 ♦). Runs are three or more consecutive cards of the same suit (e.g., 5 ♥, 6 ♥, 7 ♥). A card can only be in one combination.
• Dealing: Thirteen cards to the dealer, twelve to others. The remaining cards form the stock.
• Turns: Draw a card (from stock or discard pile – only from discard if you can meld it). Expose melds (optional if drawing from the stock; mandatory if melding from the discard). Lay off cards on existing melds (optional). Discard one card.
