Stroop Effect Test

Experience the Stroop Effect and put your brain to the test.

This app is designed to showcase a fascinating phenomenon that occurs in the brain. It highlights the conflict that arises when a task challenges the connection between the color perceived by your eyes and the color word processed by your conscious mind.

The Stroop test actively engages and challenges your cognitive processes.

Neuroscience background: Visual signals travel from the eyes to the brain much faster than the conscious mind can process language, as the visual pathway is immediate while conscious thought requires time.

Under time pressure to answer correctly, this neurological conflict creates an impulse to click the wrong answer. You must use conscious focus and willpower to think quickly, achieve correct answers, and complete questions in progressively shorter times.

How to play:

First, select one of the two game modes. By default, it starts with the Stroop Effect mode, labeled "Get Meaning, Put Color" in the menu.

When a game begins, the first question appears. Tap one of the four colored buttons to answer.

Your primary goal is to get as many correct answers as possible by the end of the test sequence.

Once you can consistently answer all questions correctly, the next challenge is to speed up your reaction time.
