WHAT IS RSTI?

The Self-Employed Workers' Social Scheme (RSTI) represents a pivotal advancement in social security, introduced by the CNPS. It extends vital protection to self-employed individuals against risks such as illness, accidents, and maternity. Additionally, upon reaching retirement age, participants receive a lifetime pension, ensuring long-term financial stability.

WHO IS A SELF-EMPLOYED WORKER?

RSTI targets all self-employed individuals residing in Côte d'Ivoire, encompassing both Ivorians and foreigners. This inclusive scheme safeguards a diverse array of professionals working independently, including farmers, artisans, traders, transporters, athletes, artists, consultants, miners, non-salaried entrepreneurs, religious workers, and Ivorians employed abroad.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF RSTI?

In the case of illness or accidents leading to temporary incapacity, self-employed workers receive income based on their declared earnings to the CNPS. Maternity benefits are available for 98 days, calculated from the beneficiary's declared income. Upon reaching the retirement age of 60, participants are entitled to a lifelong pension. In the unfortunate event of the participant's death, this pension is transferred to their designated beneficiaries under specific conditions.
