Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana progressively challenges players, teaching them to master its mechanics. While not excessively long, the game features several demanding boss encounters. Gyalva, Lord of the Blazing Prison, tests players' combat skills, abilities, and game knowledge.

Defeating Gyalva: A Strategic Approach

• Location: Zone of Lava, the Escapeless Abyss
• Health (Normal): 1200

Following Guilen, The Fire Eater, players face Gyalva. The key to victory is strategic positioning at either bridge end. Movement is restricted, and the bridge's platforms are constantly disrupted by Gyalva's attacks. The strategy involves quick bursts of damage using wind magic, followed by a retreat to safety. This requires precise timing and efficient use of Adol's abilities.

Understanding Gyalva's Attacks

Gyalva, a unique boss not present in the original Ys III, presents a dynamic challenge. While the fight's core mechanics are straightforward, Gyalva's attacks can quickly deplete health. Gyalva moves along the bridge, launching fiery attacks that send platforms airborne. Sufficient character upgrades (aim for level 21) and equipment enhancements are highly recommended.

Spinning Attacks (Two Variations)

Gyalva utilizes two spinning attacks:

1. Partial Bridge Spin: Gyalva traverses a bridge section, launching platforms into the air. Evade by moving to either side of the affected area.
2. Full Bridge Spin: Gyalva crosses the entire bridge, causing all platforms to flip. The only safe position is on either ledge at the bridge's end.

Avoid the bridge's very edge to prevent being cornered. Instead, attack Gyalva and retreat to the nearest ledge.

Fire Blast

Gyalva launches fireballs, propelling platforms upward. While damaging, this attack creates an opportunity to land several hits on Gyalva.

Bursting Torches

Torches along the bridge sporadically erupt in flames, accompanied by a fireball moving between them. These bursts are unpredictable, but the area is safe once the burst subsides.
