By HenryMar 14,2025

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is letting fans choose the next wave of official Yakuza / Like a Dragon merchandise! The studio has unveiled a whopping 100 item options, with the top two vote-getters slated for release within the next two years. While the voting is currently only available on the official Japanese website, fans worldwide can participate.

The selection ranges from the expected—like a 20th-anniversary hoodie or a themed pencil case—to the utterly bizarre, drawing inspiration from the series' famously outlandish history.

Among the more unusual contenders are Munan Suzuki's cult outfit from Yakuza 0, the giant traffic cone from Yakuza Kiwami, and the intriguingly named "Puffy Gold Pants." Other options include Majima's sake from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Akiyama's gold watch, Kiryu's fountain pen from Yakuza 6, Kashiwagi's tambourine from Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Kiryu's wrestling mask from Yakuza 3, and Saejima's prison uniform from Yakuza 4. The list goes on, showcasing the series' rich and eccentric history.

2025 marks not only the anniversary but also the release of Like a Dragon: Pirate of the Caribbean on February 21st. While the studio hasn't yet announced any further anniversary projects beyond this, the possibility of additional releases isn't out of the question, considering their prolific output.

RGG Studio's rapid development cycle is well-documented. In the past five years alone, they've released Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Judgment Remastered, Lost Judgment, Like a Dragon: Ishin!, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, plus two Super Monkey Ball games and an enhanced remaster of Virtua Fighter 5—a total of nine games.
