Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: New Arrivals and Departures

Microsoft has unveiled its first Xbox Game Pass lineup of 2025, confirming several anticipated titles and announcing the departure of others. The month of January promises an exciting mix of new releases and farewells for subscribers.

New Games Arriving in January 2025:

Microsoft officially announced seven new games joining the Xbox Game Pass catalog in January 2025 via their official blog on January 7th. This includes a mix of genres and access levels:

  • Road 96: Available now (January 7th) across all Game Pass tiers (including PC Game Pass). This choice-driven adventure game makes a welcome return after a previous stint on the service.
  • Lightyear Frontier (Preview): Available January 8th for Standard subscribers. This sci-fi title is still in early access.
  • My Time at Sandrock: Available January 8th for Standard subscribers.
  • Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders: Available January 8th for Standard subscribers.
  • Rolling Hills: Available January 8th for Standard subscribers.
  • UFC 5: Available January 14th exclusively for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.
  • Diablo: Available January 14th exclusively for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.

The arrival of Diablo and UFC 5 confirms earlier leaks, though their exclusivity to Ultimate and/or PC Game Pass tiers should be noted.

New Perks:

In addition to the new games, several new Game Pass Ultimate perks launched on January 7th, including weapon charms for Apex Legends and DLC packs for First Descendant, Vigor, and Metaball.

Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass on January 15, 2025:

Microsoft also confirmed the departure of six titles on January 15th:

  • Common'hood
  • Escape Academy
  • Exoprimal
  • Figment
  • Insurgency Sandstorm
  • Those Who Remain
