Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: A Snowy Start and Stellar Additions

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers are in for a treat this January 2025, with a robust lineup of new games arriving throughout the month. While the first half saw some existing titles shift tiers, the second half delivers a significant boost, led by several day-one releases.

Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders kicks off the action on January 21st, offering a thrilling skiing experience with both co-op and PvP modes. This day-one title, typical for recent releases, will initially be exclusive to Ultimate subscribers.

The January 2025 Game Pass additions also include:

  • January 2nd: Carrion
  • January 7th: Road 96
  • January 14th: Diablo (PC Game Pass), EA Sports UFC 3 (Ultimate)
  • January 21st: Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (Ultimate)
  • January 28th: Eternal Strands (Ultimate)
  • January 30th: Sniper Elite: Resistance (Ultimate)
  • January 31st: Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (Ultimate)

Beyond Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, Eternal Strands stands out as a particularly noteworthy addition. Developed by Yellow Brick Games and helmed by BioWare veteran Mike Laidlaw, this action-adventure game boasts a distinct Zelda-esque feel.

While February 2025's Game Pass offerings remain largely unannounced, the confirmed arrival of Avowed on February 18th (Ultimate) provides a glimpse of what's to come. Until then, Ultimate subscribers can enjoy the exciting wave of January releases, including the day-one titles, at no extra cost.
