Microsoft has announced an exciting array of titles set to enhance the Xbox Game Pass experience in the first half of April 2025. The lineup boasts a mix of first-party and third-party games, headlined by titles such as South of Midnight, Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, and Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition, among others. This diverse selection promises a thrilling month for subscribers.
A recent Xbox Wire post detailed this robust schedule, with the action kicking off on April 3. On this date, Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition (available on Cloud, Console, and PC) will be accessible to all tiers, while All You Need Is Help (Console), Still Wakes the Deep (Xbox Series X | S), and Wargroove 2 (Console) will join Game Pass Standard. This initial wave offers a plethora of content to keep Xbox enthusiasts engaged throughout the month. Following closely, on April 8, South of Midnight (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) and Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition (Console and PC) will become available to all Game Pass subscribers.
South of Midnight, crafted by Compulsion Games, is set in the Deep South and promises to be one of Xbox’s most significant releases this year. Its inclusion in Game Pass is expected to attract a large number of players eager to explore its folklore-inspired world. Microsoft's official description highlights the game's immersive experience: “Explore the mythos and confront mysterious creatures of the Deep South in this modern folktale while learning to weave an ancient power to surmount obstacles and face the pain haunting your hometown.”
The lineup continues with Commandos: Origins (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) arriving on April 9 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members, followed by Blue Prince (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) on April 10 for the same tiers. Concluding the first wave of releases, Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PC) will be added for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers on April 15.
In addition to new game titles, Xbox Game Pass perks are also receiving an update for the first half of April 2025. Notable additions include the Beyond the Void Bundle for The First Descendant, the Sweet Starter Pack for Candy Crush Solitaire on mobile devices, and the anniversary Seventh Serving Emote for Sea of Thieves enthusiasts.
