By AlexanderMay 16,2025

Get ready for an epic update as LoL: Wild Rift Patch 6.1: Ascending Stars is set to launch on April 16th, promising a cosmic transformation across the game. This patch introduces the enchanting Dual Nova galaxy, featuring both the Challenger's Star and Adventure's Star, which will revolutionize your gaming experience from menus to the battlefield.

Dive into the action with three new champions, each bringing unique skills to Wild Rift. Ryze, the Rune Mage, unleashes powerful AoE damage and can teleport allies across the map with his Realm Warp ability. Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare, thrives on chaos, using Paranoia to cast enemies into total darkness. Lastly, Zilean, the Chronokeeper, manipulates time, slowing foes and reviving allies with Chronoshift.

Several champions are also receiving significant reworks. Garen’s Courage ability now scales over time, enhancing his tankiness, while his Judgment ability will effectively shred enemy armor. Ambessa transitions from the jungle to the Baron lane with adjustments to her damage and life steal. Minor tweaks are also coming for Diana, Fiora, Jax, Sona, and Kalista, promising to shake up the meta.

Beyond champion updates, a new Bandle-inspired Rift is set to spice up non-Ranked modes, introducing Enchanted Gifts that emerge from portals during the laning phase. Mages will benefit from updated items like the Bandle Fantasy item, which adds extra burst damage, Hextech GLP800 with its frost bombs to slow enemies, and Malignance to enhance ultimate abilities, making spellcasters even more formidable.

Ranked mode is also seeing significant changes with the start of a new season alongside the launch of the Challenger’s Star. Expect updates to the Ranked store and a streamlined way to earn seasonal rewards. Midway through the patch, the Adventure’s Star will unlock, introducing AAAARAM, an exciting twist on ARAM with added augments and stunning galactic visuals.

The Wild Pass for this patch will feature two breathtaking skins: Wondertown Twisted Fate and Battlecast Nasus, with Twisted Fate’s skin marking the debut of a new skinline.
