All Hidden and Secret Achievements in Monster Hunter Wilds

In Monster Hunter Wilds, you'll find 12 secret achievements. Seven of these will unlock naturally as you progress through the main story. The other five are tied to optional objectives, as detailed below:

  • I Caught a Shooting Star!: Caught a creature in the desert that shines like a shooting star.
  • A Prize Held High: Caught a creature that bears an Ancient Wyvern Coin.
  • A Legacy Restored: Obtained an Artian Weapon of Rarity 8.
  • Seasoned Hunter: Hunted 50 Tempered monsters.
  • Top of the Food Chain: Hunted 50 Apex Predators.

While some achievements are straightforward, others require a bit more effort. Let's dive into how to unlock each one.

I Caught a Shooting Star!

To achieve this, head to Zone 11 of the Windward Plains at night. Equip some screamer pods and keep an eye out for a Baunos flying near the gathering spots. Use your screamer pods to stun it, then quickly capture it with the Capture Net.

A Prize Held High

This achievement can be obtained in any map by looking for tight corners and dead ends. Specifically, visit Zone 6 of the Scarlet Forest and locate the small puddle of water. Use your Capture Net to catch the small golden crab. Alma will often comment when you're near a creature holding an Ancient Wyvern Coin, so listen for her cues.

A Legacy Restored

Once you reach High Rank missions, start working on crafting Artian gear. To obtain Rarity 8 weapons and materials, you'll need to hunt Tempered monsters equipped with Rarity 7 gear.

Seasoned Hunter

Be sure not to confuse Tempered monsters with Frenzied monsters, which are outlined in red on the minimap. Tempered monsters are marked in purple and will start appearing from Chapter 4 onwards in High Rank content. Both slaying and capturing them will contribute to this achievement.

Top of the Food Chain

This achievement involves hunting 50 Apex Predators, which include:

  • Rey
  • Dau
  • Uth
  • Duna
  • Nu
  • Udra
  • Jin
  • Dahaad

And that's how you unlock all the hidden achievements in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more tips and information on the game, including the best gathering set to use, be sure to check out The Escapist.
