Ubisoft Unveils Customization and Progression in Assassin

Ubisoft has unveiled exciting new details about the gameplay mechanics in *Assassin's Creed: Shadows*, spotlighting the equipment and progression systems for the game's protagonists, Yasuke and Naoe. A highlight for fans is the enhanced functionality of the iconic Hidden Blade, promising an exhilarating experience.

Each character boasts unique skill trees tailored to their combat styles. Yasuke, a samurai, will master techniques that reflect his warrior heritage, while Naoe, a shinobi, will hone stealth and agility. Players can allocate skill points to unlock weapon-specific abilities or refine their fighting styles, earned through completing open-world objectives or defeating formidable enemies like the Daisyo samurai.

To maintain balanced progression, both characters develop at an even pace, ensuring neither falls behind. Unlocking powerful abilities involves specific tasks, such as tracking down a mysterious shinobi group. Other upgrades are linked to the "Knowledge" scale, advanced by studying manuscripts or praying at shrines. Achieving the sixth Knowledge rank opens up a new skill tree, further enriching the gameplay.

Ubisoft also introduced the equipment system, featuring items categorized into five quality tiers: common, uncommon, rare, epic, and legendary. Players can upgrade their gear at a blacksmith and customize its appearance. Special perks on armor and weapons have the potential to significantly alter gameplay dynamics.

The Hidden Blade returns with a vengeance, offering the ability to instantly eliminate enemies with a single, precise strike. *Assassin's Creed: Shadows* is set to launch globally on March 20, available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5, promising an immersive and thrilling addition to the beloved franchise.
