Marvel Rivals: Season 1 Approaches with New Hero Data and Balance Changes
NetEase has released comprehensive statistics on Marvel Rivals character selection and win rates across all game modes, offering valuable insights into player preferences and hero performance. The data covers the game's first month, providing a snapshot before the significant changes introduced in Season 1.
Jeff the Land Shark reigns supreme in Quickplay popularity, boasting the highest pick rate across both PC and console platforms. However, Mantis unexpectedly claims the top spot for win rate, exceeding 50% in both Quickplay and Competitive modes (56% and 55% respectively). Other high-performing heroes include Loki, Hela, and Adam Warlock.
The "Hero Hot List" also highlights platform-specific favorites: Cloak & Dagger for console competitive players and Luna Snow for PC competitive players.
Marvel Rivals: Most Picked Heroes
- Jeff the Land Shark: Quickplay (PC & Console)
- Cloak & Dagger: Competitive (Console)
- Luna Snow: Competitive (PC)
Conversely, Storm, a Duelist character, struggles with extremely low pick rates (1.66% in Quickplay and a mere 0.69% in Competitive), largely attributed to player dissatisfaction with her damage output and gameplay. However, NetEase's announced Season 1 balance changes promise significant buffs for Storm, potentially altering her standing considerably.
The upcoming Season 1, launching January 10th, will introduce the Fantastic Four (Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman initially, followed by The Human Torch and The Thing later in the season), promising to shake up the meta and potentially drastically change these statistics. The release of this data provides a fascinating look at the current state of the game before the arrival of new heroes and balance adjustments.
