"Star Wars: Zero Company Unveiled by Respawn and Bit Reactor This Weekend"

By MilaMay 13,2025

Following a minor leak last week, EA has officially announced the title of its upcoming Star Wars game: Star Wars: Zero Company. The game is being crafted by the newly-formed studio Bit Reactor, with collaborative efforts from Lucasfilm Games and Respawn. The first glimpse of official artwork for Zero Company has been released, piquing fans' curiosity about what's in store.

The first and only (so far) official art for Zero Company.

Although details are sparse, we know that Star Wars: Zero Company will be a single-player, turn-based tactics game. Fans won't have to wait long for more information, as EA has scheduled a first look at the game for April 19 during Star Wars Celebration in Japan.

Bit Reactor, founded in 2022, is a strategy game studio composed of industry veterans from renowned titles such as XCOM, Civilization, Gears of War, and Elder Scrolls Online. While it was known that Bit Reactor was collaborating with Respawn on a Star Wars project, this marks the first time concrete details have been shared about Zero Company.

The extent of Respawn's involvement remains somewhat unclear. The studio has faced significant challenges recently, including the cancellation of its own Star Wars FPS last year, mass layoffs at EA, and the termination of another multiplayer FPS project just last month.

More insights into Star Wars: Zero Company will be unveiled at a live panel on Saturday, April 19 at 4:30pm local time in Japan. For fans in the U.S., this translates to an inconvenient 12:30am PT and 3:30am ET, so mark your calendars and set those alarms!
