GSC Game World reveals S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy - Enhanced Edition, featuring next-gen upgrades for the classic trilogy coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on May 20.

The enhanced package includes remastered versions of Shadow of Chornobyl (2007), Clear Sky (2008), and Call of Prypiat (2009), complete with visual improvements, next-gen optimizations, and enhanced mod compatibility.

Existing owners of the trilogy on consoles will receive the Enhanced Edition upgrade at no additional cost. PC players who own the original games get these enhanced versions free as well, with purchases of the Enhanced Editions including the classic versions.

The trilogy bundle is priced at $39.99, while individual titles cost $19.99 each. Note that cross-platform saves aren't supported - progress remains platform-specific.

Console players can choose from multiple framerate options:

  • Standard modes: 30 FPS and 60 FPS
  • Advanced modes: 40 FPS and up to 120 FPS (VRR display required)

Visual enhancements span all platforms:

  • Upgraded lighting with godrays and global illumination
  • Higher-resolution textures and detailed models
  • Enhanced water and weather effects
  • 4K cinematic sequences
  • Improved weapon field of view

The trilogy introduces full mod support via mod.io across platforms, allowing players to create and share custom content. PC players benefit from Steam Workshop integration, while console users gain access to keyboard/mouse controls.

Developed by Kyiv-based GSC Game World - the team behind the upcoming S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl - this enhanced trilogy builds upon the studio's recent successes while honoring their classic survival-shooter legacy.
