Marvel's Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, the Disney+ animated series chronicling Peter Parker's freshman year, has received early renewals for both Season 2 and Season 3.
Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming, television, and animation, revealed in an interview with The Movie Podcast that Season 2's scripts are complete, with storyboards already half-finished, even before Season 1's premiere on January 29th. The green light for Season 3 has also been given.
Winderbaum expressed his enthusiasm for the series, stating, "I've fallen so head over heels in love with these characters...we're halfway through the animatics. What [lead writer and executive producer Jeff Trammell] is building brick by brick in this show starts to pay off...it just gets deeper and deeper in subsequent seasons."

While Winderbaum confirmed upcoming meetings with Trammell to discuss Season 3's direction, specific release dates for either Season 2 or 3 remain undisclosed.
The series follows Peter Parker's high school journey as he develops his superpowers. Whether the subsequent seasons will chronologically follow his sophomore and junior years, or explore alternative storylines within his freshman year, remains to be seen.
