Sony PlayStation State of Play Reportedly Set for Next Week

By NatalieFeb 14,2025

Sony's February PlayStation State of Play is reportedly scheduled for next week. Leaker NateTheHate, who accurately predicted the Nintendo Switch 2 reveal date, hints at a State of Play airing during Valentine's Day week (February 10-14).

Speculation abounds! What might Sony unveil? Let's consider their announced 2025 releases: Sucker Punch's Ghost of Yotei is a strong contender for a gameplay reveal and release date announcement. Bungie's Marathon, a PvP extraction shooter, could also feature if playtesting plans remain on track for this year. Haven Studios' debut title, Fairgames, is another possibility. While less likely, new trailers for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Naughty Dog's new IP, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, are also possibilities. Insomniac's Marvel's Wolverine is another potential highlight.

However, recently cancelled live-service titles from Bend Studio and Bluepoint Games (reportedly a God of War live-service game) won't be present. Guerrilla Games' Horizon live-service project, however, reportedly survived the cuts; could this be its time to shine?

Microsoft's presence shouldn't be overlooked. A release date for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny could be announced, and the possibility of a Halo announcement for PlayStation remains intriguing.

Looking back at last year's State of Play offers clues. It featured Death Stranding 2, Physint, Rise of the Ronin, the Until Dawn remaster, Stellar Blade, Dragon's Dogma 2, Sonic Frontiers, various Silent Hill projects, Judas, Foamstars, and Helldivers 2.
