A casual glance at the awe-inspiring presence of one of Elden Ring's most renowned players, Let Me Solo Her, can humble even the mightiest Tarnished. Yet, even he faced significant challenges against one of FromSoftware's most formidable adversaries, Bloodborne's Orphan of Kos.
Let Me Solo Her first gained fame within the Elden Ring community in April 2022, stepping into the role of a loincloth-wearing, jar-headed savior. He provided invaluable assistance to countless players struggling with the game's notorious optional boss, Malenia, Blade of Miquella.
By his own account, since his rise to prominence, he has accumulated over 1,200 hours of playtime and faced Malenia thousands of times. His dedication has cemented his status as a legend in the Elden Ring community, earning him the honor of receiving an actual sword from FromSoftware in recognition of his contributions.
In a recent video, Let Me Solo Her shared his experience transitioning to a PS5 to participate in the Elden Ring Nightreign playtest, which finally allowed him to delve into the fan-favorite Bloodborne. Despite his expertise with FromSoftware titles, he encountered significant difficulties with some of Bloodborne's most infamous boss encounters.
After adjusting to the lower framerate — Elden Ring runs at 60 frames per second (fps) while Bloodborne operates at 30 fps — and the intense atmosphere, and after succumbing to the werewolf in the clinic (a common rite of passage for many players), Let Me Solo Her documented his entire journey through Bloodborne, including its DLC.
"Finally, I met the Orphan of Kos. Every Soulsborne game that has a DLC always features that final boss who feels overwhelmingly powerful," he remarked. "We had Promised Consort Radahn in Elden Ring, Slave Knight Gael in Dark Souls 3, and Manus, Father of the Abyss in Dark Souls 1. The Orphan of Kos was that boss for Bloodborne.
"This boss required more attempts than any previous boss fight, and even drove me to explore Chalice Dungeons off stream to farm Blood Vials and bullets for replenishment," Let Me Solo Her added (thanks, GamesRadar+). "For me, he's definitely the hardest boss in Bloodborne."
