Sim's 4's Past Event Unveils Historical Display Study Techniques

By EricFeb 21,2025

Week 2 of The Sims 4's Blast from the Past event presents a puzzling challenge: studying a Historical Display. This guide provides a step-by-step solution, addressing common issues players encounter.

A Sims 4 museum showcasing a historical display.

Locating a Historical Display:

The Week 2 quest requires interaction with a Historical Display, found within museums. Use your in-game map to locate a museum (indicated by a pillar icon). Municipal Muses in Willow Creek and The Future's Past in Oasis Springs are conveniently located near other event tasks.

Studying the Display:

Once inside a museum, locate a painting or sculpture (both qualify as Historical Displays). Click on the chosen item and select the "View" option. Successful interaction is confirmed by the appearance of the Emit icon.

Troubleshooting Common Problems:

Many players report difficulties with the "View" option, often attributed to mods. If you're experiencing this issue, temporarily disabling mods might resolve the problem. If the problem persists, attempting to view multiple displays across different museums may provide a workaround. EA's awareness of this issue is hoped for, pending a solution.
