Sims 1 & 2 Revived: Classic Games Return to PC

The Sims franchise's 25th anniversary is underway, and while Electronic Arts has unveiled its celebratory plans, exciting surprises may still be in store.

A recent Sims teaser hints at the series' first two installments, sparking fan speculation about a potential revival. While unconfirmed, Kotaku sources suggest a possible announcement later this week: digital PC re-releases of The Sims 1 and 2, complete with their original expansion packs.

The possibility of console versions remains open, though EA's likely to capitalize on the nostalgic appeal.

Given the age of The Sims 1 and 2 and the limited legal avenues for playing them today, a re-release would undoubtedly be a welcome event for longtime fans.
