The plot thickens when Shiro, the family's loyal dog, mysteriously returns covered in soot and dashes off. Curious as ever, Shin Chan follows Shiro, leading him to a mysterious train that appears out of nowhere. An accidental ride on this train transports Shin Chan to the enigmatic Coal Town.

Upon arriving in Coal Town, Shin Chan discovers a bustling community with a retro Showa-era vibe, a stark contrast to the peaceful countryside. The town offers a variety of activities and locales, including a children's park, diner, shops, restaurants, and an apartment block, some of which you can interact with, adding depth to the gaming experience.

In Coal Town, Shin Chan meets Yuri, a young inventor seeking help to gather materials for her innovative projects aimed at improving the lives of the townsfolk. However, her older brother, Chuck, introduces a problematic 'waste-free' system that disrupts the town's harmony. Players must assist Yuri in thwarting Chuck's plans and restoring balance to Coal Town.
