In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, Sharp Fangs are essential crafting resources that you can start collecting early in the game. To help you gather them efficiently, here’s a comprehensive guide on how to find and farm Sharp Fangs in *Monster Hunter Wilds*.

Your journey to collect Sharp Fangs begins in the Windward Plains, accessible from the start of the story. To get there, embark on one of the initial optional quests such as “Beware the Chatacabra” or “The Desert is Demanding.” These quests will lead you to the Windward Plains and give you a generous 50-minute time limit. Before setting out, consider preparing a meal to boost your performance.

Once in the Windward Plains, head east to Area 8, the largest region on the map where you’ll encounter various smaller monsters. Here’s where you'll focus on hunting specific creatures to farm Sharp Fangs.

Gaijos

Gaijos, small leviathan monsters resembling crocodiles with distinctive snouts, are primarily found near or in the riverbeds of Area 8. You can locate them using the interactive map by looking for purple diamonds near water sources.

Approach a Gaijos location and use your equipped weapon to take them down swiftly, as they have relatively low health. After defeating a Gaijos, carve its carcass to obtain 1 x Sharp Fang. Gaijos are guaranteed to drop Sharp Fangs, making them your primary target. With about four to five Gaijos spawning in the Windward Plains, you can re-enter via any of the optional quests to farm more Sharp Fangs as needed.

Another creature in the Windward Plains that may drop Sharp Fangs is the Talioth. These bipedal monsters roam in small packs in Areas 8 and sometimes 13. Although they’re slightly tougher than Gaijos, they’re manageable with starter weapons. Carving a Talioth carcass might yield other items like Talioth Scales, but there’s also a chance to get Sharp Fangs.

While farming Talioths, you can simultaneously complete the “The Desert is Demanding” optional quest, which requires you to kill 8 x Talioths.
