Get ready for an exciting new chapter in *Monster Hunter Now* as Season 5: The Blossoming Blade launches on March 6th, 2025. Niantic has shared all the juicy details, promising a season packed with new challenges, weapons, a Season Pass, and fresh monsters to hunt.
Getting Ready for Monster Hunter Now Season 5
The anticipation begins early with the arrival of Chatacabra on February 28th, making its grand debut before appearing in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. When Season 5 officially kicks off, you'll also encounter Glavenus and Arzuros, adding more variety to your hunts.
Weapon balance is getting a significant overhaul to ensure every weapon type is more viable and enjoyable. The Sword & Shield is receiving a buff that will make targeting breakable parts like tails easier. Additionally, the Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will reward well-timed taps with enhanced performance, offering more satisfying combos.
The Guard skill is also getting a boost. Previously, leveling up Guard had minimal impact, but now, higher skill levels will significantly reduce damage taken when blocking. More tweaks are on the way, which will be detailed in the full patch notes on March 6th.
And There Is More!
If you're struggling with an overflowing inventory, *Monster Hunter Now* Season 5 has you covered. A new Item Box Expansion will be available as a Supply Item, providing an extra 250 slots to manage your gear and resources.
Celebrating the game's 1.5-Year Anniversary on March 17th, a new feature will allow you to trade special materials earned from hunts and events for fantastic rewards. Expect to see items like Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards available for trade.
