Sam's Location Revealed in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

If you're striving for the ultimate conclusion in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, completing specific tasks is crucial. One such task that contributes significantly to achieving the best ending is saving Sam. Knowing where to find Sam during your journey is essential for those aiming for perfection.

Rescuing Sam During “Reckoning”

As you approach the culmination of the main quest line, you discover that Sam is being held captive at Praguer’s Camp. He was taken by Brabant, and your opportunity to rescue him arises during the "Reckoning" quest. Simply walking into the camp to free him isn't an option; you must choose between stealth or combat to infiltrate the camp.

To move around the camp without arousing suspicion, you'll need a guard’s outfit. You can obtain one by either killing a guard and stealing it or by looting one from the numerous chests scattered throughout the camp. Once you have the outfit equipped, you can freely explore the camp in search of Sam.

Sam is located in the barn on the left side of the camp, beyond the open area with a cooking fire. Access the barn by using the ladder on its side and dropping down inside, where you'll encounter Brabant. At this juncture, you face a critical decision: you can either kill or spare Brabant. Opting to spare him aligns with the path to the best ending, though the final choice is yours.

When to Rescue Sam

After freeing Sam, it's not yet time to escort him out of the camp. Sam informs you about von Aulitz, who is also present in the camp. It’s advisable to deal with von Aulitz first, secure a horse, and then return to Sam for the escape. Sam can wait safely while you complete these tasks in the most efficient order, as you'll need to carry him to the horse.

Von Aulitz is located in the main section of the camp. Wearing the guard outfit allows you to enter his quarters without challenge. Upon finding von Aulitz, who is already dying, he requests a dignified death. Granting this request is the most honorable option. Alternatively, you can kill him mercilessly or leave him to die slowly. Interestingly, leaving him to die contributes to the best ending.

Your final steps involve retrieving Sam from the barn where you left him and securing a horse. If a guard questions you about Sam, simply explain that you're moving a body, which will dispel any suspicion. Exit the camp through the gates, turn right, and follow the perimeter until you reach the stables.
