By LucyMay 15,2025

The Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault has announced its eight finalists, confirming its status as one of the premier eSports tournaments. With a staggering 515,000 players from 221 countries engaging in 9.5 million Tennis Clash matches, the competition to reach the Final Stage was fierce. The finalists, including reigning champion Alessandro Bianco and first Open Qualifier winner Hizir Balkanci, will compete on May 24th at the Roland-Garros Tenniseum. Joining them are Anyndia Lestari, Omer Feder, Adjua Thembisa Boucher, Eugen Mosdir, Bartu Yildirim, and Samuel Sanin Ortiz.

The excitement escalates with the unique format this year. The eight finalists will be divided into two teams, each led by a tennis legend. Gilles Simon, former ATP world Number 6 and a finalist last year, will captain one team, while former Wimbledon Champion Marion Bartoli will lead the other. These teams will compete in a series of matches, with winners advancing to the Winner Bracket. Meanwhile, eliminated players will have a second chance in the Loser Bracket, where teams disband and players vie for the coveted title of Roland-Garros eSeries champion.

The event promises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats, hosted by Samuel Etienne, a prominent French personality and Twitch streamer with over 1 million followers. He will be joined by esports expert Quento and former Tennis Clash number 1 Benny, aka GP365. The tournament will be brought to life in the spirit of Roland-Garros, featuring a replica of the iconic Philippe-Chatrier court and custom outfits. Esteemed French umpire Aurélie Tourte will officiate what are sure to be thrilling matches.

250 spectators will enjoy the action live at the auditorium, while the event will also be streamed on Samuel Etienne’s Twitch and the Roland-Garros YouTube channels starting at 4pm CEST. Viewers can watch every match and participate in interactive segments, with special guests contributing to lively discussions about tennis and eTennis.
