"Rivals Update 9 Adds Gunblade, Bridge Map; Ranked Mode Coming Soon"

The first-person shooter PvP Roblox experience, Rivals, has rolled out Update 9, bringing the innovative Gunblade weapon and the new Bridge map into its expanding universe. Developer Nosniy Games has outlined these fresh additions in the patch notes, marking this update as one of the more concise releases recently, yet still packed with exciting content to keep players engaged.

Fans of Rivals are drawn to the game for its thrilling FPS gameplay and diverse arsenal of weapons, and the Gunblade is a welcome addition. This versatile weapon functions both as a ranged rifle and a melee blade, offering players a tactical edge in combat. Its dual nature could be particularly effective on the newly introduced Bridge map. This arena, set in Seoul and designed by @GreatGuyBoom, thrusts players into immediate close-quarters combat with minimal cover, only concrete walls and a bus separating opponents.

The patch notes for Rivals Update 9 do not include any specific bug fixes, balance changes, or quality-of-life enhancements. Nosniy Games has opted to focus solely on the new map and weapon, though they did make minor modifications to the skins of the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi, and renamed some other weapons. The developers have promised that more comprehensive updates, including the highly anticipated Ranked feature, are on the horizon.

"We hear all of your feedback and want to reassure you all that every necessary & additional changes/improvements will be made in time for Ranked," the team stated.

Since its launch in May last year, Rivals has consistently received updates, such as Update 7, which introduced the Energy Rifle, Energy Pistols, Crossbow, and more. NEW SPECIAL CHALLENGES!

The Winter Spotlight has been removed and replaced with a brand new set of challenges! Complete a series of tasks on the new Bridge map to earn keys & the limited time Bungeoppang charm!

OTHER

The Demon Shorty & Demon Uzi skins have been slightly modified. The Hexxed Flare Gun skin, Hexxed Candle skin, and Hexxed wrap have been renamed to Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, & Vexed respectively.
