Riot Games made a notable appearance at this year's DICE Summit, where co-founder Marc Merrill sat down with Stephen Totilo for a post-event discussion. Merrill shared his ambitious vision for the future, particularly focusing on the development of a new MMO set within the expansive universe of League of Legends and the acclaimed series Arcane.

Merrill revealed that the MMO project consumes a significant portion of his time, driven by his passion for the genre. He believes this dedication, combined with the eagerness of League of Legends fans to dive deeper into their beloved universe, positions the game for potential success. However, while his enthusiasm for the project is palpable, Merrill kept the details under wraps, offering no specific insights into the game's features or a release timeline. In a light-hearted moment, he quipped that he hopes the MMO will be available before humans set foot on Mars, leaving fans to wonder about the actual timeline.

In addition to the MMO, Riot Games is also developing another title within the League of Legends universe: 2XKO, a fighting game that has been eagerly anticipated by fans for years. Unlike the mysterious MMO, 2XKO has already been showcased through trailers and is slated for release before the year's end, providing fans with a more immediate connection to the League of Legends world.
