The final day of the Six Invitational is always a highlight for Rainbow Six Siege fans, as Ubisoft traditionally unveils exciting new content. This year was no exception, with the introduction of Rauora, the latest attack operator hailing from New Zealand. Rauora brings a fresh dynamic to the game with her unique gadget, the DOM launcher.
The DOM launcher is a bulletproof shield designed specifically for deployment in doorways, though it can be destroyed by explosives. What sets it apart is its interactive trigger mechanism. Anyone can shoot the trigger to open the shield, but the time it takes to respond varies significantly: attackers can open it in just one second, whereas defenders must wait three seconds. This feature could prove to be a game-changer, especially in tense situations where the defuser has been planted.

In addition to her innovative gadget, Rauora introduces the Reaper MK2 to the Rainbow Six Siege arsenal. This fully automatic pistol comes equipped with a red dot sight and an enlarged magazine, offering players a new tactical option. For her primary weapons, Rauora can choose between the powerful M249 LMG or the precise 417 marksman rifle.
Fans eager to try out Rauora won't have to wait long, as she will be available on the test servers starting next week. However, those playing on the live version of the game will need to be a bit more patient before they can experience her in action.
