Pokémon GO Adds Psyduck Amid Netflix Series Buzz

Psyduck takes center stage in the latest Pokémon GO event, celebrating the return of the animated series "Pokémon Concierge" on Netflix. Part 2 of the show premiered on September 4th, continuing Haru's journey at the resort.

Pokémon GO Teaches Psyduck About Water Safety

Psyduck has been waddling around Brazil recently. In Pokémon GO, you can find it during the Pokémon Concierge Celebration Event, running from September 9th at 10:00 a.m. to September 14th, 2025, at 8:00 p.m.

While no new Pokémon are being introduced this time, Psyduck is in the spotlight with a debut costume—a swim ring. This version appears in the wild and has its Shiny form available. Sealeo will also appear in the wild, while Shinx will be a rarer spawn.

During the event, enjoy several bonuses: double XP for catching Pokémon, more frequent item gifts from your buddy, and increased odds of encountering a Shiny Psyduck with a swim ring. The Shiny variant also features a special event-exclusive background.

What Else Is New?

You might get photobombed in GO Snapshots by Pokémon or characters from Pokémon Concierge. Completing Field Research tasks will also lead to encounters with themed Pokémon. Be sure to download the game from the Google Play Store before the event begins.

I'm particularly excited about the second season of Pokémon Concierge. The series originated from discussions between The Pokémon Company and Netflix back in 2019, with the first season of this Japanese stop-motion ONA releasing in December 2023.

Its heartfelt storytelling and relaxing vibe quickly won over audiences. The series follows Haru, a woman who starts a new job as a concierge at the Pokémon Resort, where she learns and grows through her interactions with visiting Pokémon. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it.
