With summer in full swing and pleasant weather for most of us, it's no surprise that Pokémon Go's July Community Day is generating excitement. Scheduled for Sunday, July 20th, this event brings trainers together with increased Pokémon spawns, and there's plenty to know before joining in.
First up is the featured Pokémon: Quaxly will appear more frequently in the wild, giving players a chance to encounter its Shiny variant as well.
If you're aiming to evolve Quaxly, evolving Quaxwell into Quaquaval will grant the Charged Attack Hydro Cannon—a special ability with 80 Power in Trainer Battles and 90 Power in Gyms and Raids. Additionally, Quaquaval can now learn the Charged Attack Aqua Step.

For trainers focused on strengthening Quaxly, this event offers the ideal opportunity, providing not just more encounters but also two new attacks for upgrading. Even if you already have plenty of Quaxly, there are still plenty of bonuses to enjoy.
From the Community Day Special Background Timed Research and Field Research to triple Stardust, double Candy for catches, and trades costing 50% less Stardust, there are many incentives to get outside and take part in the July Community Day.
