Pokémon Go Concludes Might and Mastery Season with Global Challenge

By CharlotteMay 22,2025

The Might and Mastery season in Pokémon Go is ramping up to an epic finale, with Niantic placing a strong emphasis on teamwork. From Tuesday, May 20th to Thursday, May 22nd, the Strength in Numbers Global Challenge beckons you to send as many Gifts as you can to your friends. This is your chance to participate in a community-wide effort that could unlock fantastic rewards.

During the challenge, you'll have the opportunity to open up to 50 Gifts per day. This not only increases your chances of gaining Stardust, items, and friendship boosts, but it also contributes to the global goal of unlocking giftable Special Research tickets for the upcoming Community Day Classic: Machop.

If the community successfully completes the challenge by May 22nd, starting May 23rd, you'll be able to gift these Machop Special Research tickets to any friend who has reached Great Friends status with you. Importantly, you can gift these tickets even if you haven't purchased one for yourself. Simply head to the in-game shop and share the Fighting-type excitement. Each trainer can gift up to 20 tickets per day, so there's ample opportunity to spread the love.

Pokémon Go Strength in Numbers Event

This event paves the way for the Machop Community Day Classic on May 24th, running from 2 to 5 pm local time. The Superpower Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild, and yes, the Shiny version is making a comeback. This is perfect for anyone who missed out on the first event or is looking to add to their green-glowing Machamp collection.

Don't miss the chance to evolve Machoke up until May 31st to get a Machamp that knows Payback, a Dark-type Charged Attack that can give this classic Fighter an edge in specific battles. With Stardust bonuses, three-hour Incense and Lures, and limited-time Timed Research that offers a themed Machop encounter with boosted Shiny odds, there's a lot to explore.

Prepare for the event by downloading Pokémon Go for free and visit the Pokémon Go Web Store to stock up on supplies in advance.
