A few thousand players will be able to test new Battlefield features

By OliverFeb 28,2025

EA unveils Battlefield Labs, a closed beta testing program for upcoming Battlefield titles. This internal test will allow select players to experience core gameplay mechanics and concepts, some of which may not appear in the final game. Participants will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).

Conquest and Breakthrough modes will be available in Battlefield Labs. Initial testing will prioritize combat and destruction mechanics, followed by balance adjustments.

Pre-registration is open for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. A limited number of players (a few thousand) will receive invitations in the coming weeks, with plans for broader regional access later.

The new Battlefield game is reportedly in a crucial development phase. While a release date remains unannounced, four studios—DICE, Motive, Criterion Games, and Ripple Effect—are collaborating on its creation.
