Pikmin Bloom Celebrates 3.5 Years with Classic Nintendo Console Theme

Pikmin Bloom is set to celebrate its 3.5th anniversary next month, and Niantic is pulling out all the stops by reintroducing some nostalgic gadgets to the game. The festivities will begin with a special event starting on May 1st, 2025.

The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!

Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has delighted players with unique decor items, such as Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. For the 3.5th anniversary, the game is bringing back the classic Nintendo game consoles from the 80s and 90s, much to the joy of long-time fans.

Additionally, a new Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin will be introduced, paying homage to Nintendo's origins as a playing card manufacturer before they ventured into the world of video games. The designs of these cards are inspired by Nintendo’s vintage playing card decks.

The event will run from May 1st to May 31st, 2025, providing a full month for players to engage in event missions and collect exciting new Pikmin. Completing Event Challenge missions will reward players with random items, including Game Button Cells, seedlings that can grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.

During the event, Brilliant Mushrooms will also appear. Smashing these mushrooms can yield Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other goodies. The best Pikmin for tackling these mushrooms are the Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 or Playing Card Decor Pikmin.

Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May

In May, players can enjoy blooming big flowers such as carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or special anniversary roses by planting red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them.

There’s also an update to the nectar system, where fruit obtained from mushrooms during May will provide nectar for regular flowers as well as special ones like carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.

Alongside these updates, there will be other exciting events, including a Community Day. Make sure to download Pikmin Bloom from the Google Play Store and get ready for the 3.5th anniversary celebration.
