Pedro Pascal Slams JK Rowling as 'Heinous Loser' Over Anti-Trans Comments

By OliviaMay 25,2025

Pedro Pascal, renowned for his roles in acclaimed series like The Last of Us, The Mandalorian, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, has publicly criticized Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling due to her continued controversial statements against the transgender community.

The actor's comments came in response to a video posted by writer and activist Tariq Raouf on April 17. In the video, Raouf condemns Rowling's endorsement of the UK Supreme Court's recent ruling, which legally defines "woman" as "a biological woman and biological sex" under the country's equality legislation. This decision effectively excludes transgender women from protections provided by the Equality Act.

Following the court's decision, Rowling shared a celebratory image on Twitter/X, depicting herself smoking a cigar and enjoying a drink by the ocean, captioned, "I love it when a plan comes together." This was in reference to her financial support for For Scotland Women, the organization behind the lawsuit.

Raouf's video labeled Rowling's actions as "serious Voldemort villain sht" and called for a boycott of all things Harry Potter-related in protest. In response, Pascal strongly agreed, describing Rowling's behavior as "Awful disgusting SHT" and "Heinous LOSER behavior."

Pascal's advocacy for the transgender community is not new. He has previously expressed his views on social media, stating, "I can’t think of anything more vile and small and pathetic than terrorizing the smallest, most vulnerable community of people who want nothing from you, except the right to exist," alongside a photo of a sign that reads, "A world without trans people has never existed and never will." Additionally, he showed solidarity by wearing a shirt with the message "Protect the dolls" at the premiere of Thunderbolts in London, where "dolls" is a term used in some LGBTQIA+ communities to refer to trans women.

Pascal's support extends to his personal life as well; his sister, Lux Pascal, publicly came out as a trans woman in 2021. Pedro Pascal celebrated her announcement with a heartfelt post, saying, "Mi hermana, mi corazón, nuestra Lux," translating to "My sister, my heart, our Lux."

By voicing his opposition to J.K. Rowling's stance, Pedro Pascal continues to use his platform to advocate for the rights and dignity of the transgender community, reinforcing his commitment to social justice and inclusivity.
