The announcement, made via the official Star Wars Celebration Instagram, has ignited speculation about the return of Poe Dameron to the galaxy far, far away. This follows a similar pattern when Daisy Ridley, who plays Rey, appeared at Star Wars Celebration 2023 and announced her involvement in a new film, leading fans to wonder if Isaac might follow suit.

The Sequel Trilogy concluded in 2019 with "Star Wars: Episode 9 - The Rise of Skywalker," leaving fans with mixed feelings. Isaac's stance on returning to the franchise has shifted over time. Initially, in 2020, he humorously stated he would only return if he needed "another house or something." However, by 2022, he told Variety that he had "no real feeling one way or another" and was "open to anything," indicating a more positive outlook.

Isaac has also been vocal about his disappointment with Disney for rejecting his proposal of a romance between Poe and John Boyega's character, Finn, citing that the "overlords were not ready for that."
