Sony is expanding its lineup of official PlayStation audio gear with a new product category: wireless speakers.
The Pulse Elevate wireless speakers are designed for use with the PlayStation 5 or a desktop PC gaming setup, and they can also connect to a PlayStation Portal or your smartphone.
Available in both Midnight Black and White, the twin speakers include a built-in microphone with AI-enhanced noise rejection, making them suitable for voice chat during gameplay.
Announced during today's State of Play broadcast, the speakers have a tentative release window of 2026, with pricing details yet to be revealed.
"Pulse Elevate utilizes PlayStation Link technology for ultra-low latency and lossless connectivity, delivering audio precisely as it occurs on compatible devices," explained Edwin Foo, PlayStation's vice president of product development, in a corresponding PlayStation blog post.
"Each speaker is equipped with studio-inspired planar magnetic drivers for realistic sound reproduction across the full audible range. This allows players to experience games exactly as developers intended, whether playing on PS5, PC, Mac, or PlayStation Portal."
On PS5, users can adjust the speakers' volume mix, EQ, sidetone, volume, and mic mute settings directly through system menus. Similar functionality for PC will be added after launch.
