Nintendo Confirms 60-Minute Switch 2 Direct

Nintendo has officially announced that the upcoming Switch 2 Nintendo Direct will run for approximately 60 minutes, signaling a major presentation packed with anticipated details about its next-generation console. This is notably longer than the average Nintendo Direct, hinting at an in-depth showcase filled with exclusive reveals and updates.

The event is scheduled to begin on April 2, 2025, at 6am PDT / 9am EDT / 2pm BST. During this time, Nintendo aims to provide fans with a more comprehensive look at the Switch 2, following its brief, cryptic reveal earlier in the year. That initial teaser gave us a glimpse of the console’s physical design, what appeared to be Mario Kart 9, and an unusual new “mouse” mode reportedly enabled by the updated Joy-Con controllers.

However, many questions remain unanswered. Gamers are still curious about the function of the mysterious new 'C' button on the Joy-Con, the actual hardware performance specs, and the intended use of the console’s newly introduced ports. Hopefully, this Nintendo Direct will shed light on these mysteries.
