FNAF 2 Poster Debuted, Teasing Return to Fazbear's

By GraceAug 16,2026

Here we go again! The official poster for Five Nights at Freddy's 2, the upcoming sequel to the film adaptation, has been revealed—and we can't wait to return to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza for another slice (pun fully intended).

The poster spotlights a children's toy called the FazTalker, reminiscent of a two-way radio or a classic Fisher-Price microphone-boombox combo. It features Freddy Fazbear himself, with speakers or microphones in the ears and an open mouth. Instead of a bowtie, the space is outlined and houses a communication screen displaying the message: "You there?"

Clearly, someone is trying to make contact, likely with Mike, the first film's protagonist, portrayed once more by Josh Hutcherson. Given the events of the original movie, it's plausible this imagery is connected to William Afton, the pizzeria's owner and main antagonist played by Matthew Lillard.

Although Afton—presumed dead—did not appear as Freddy Fazbear in the first film (spoiler: he ultimately became the animatronic Springtrap), this could be an attempt by his spirit to communicate from beyond.

There are other possible explanations for the FazTalker, as it's a new creation for the movies and not part of the original game lore. Mike's sister Abby might own the toy, which could then be used to contact—or torment—her. The first film established that the ghosts of Afton's victims could communicate through dreams and drawings, so it's believable this device could be hijacked for similar sinister purposes, perhaps to lure characters back to the pizzeria.

Universal's press release also confirmed the sequel's tagline: "Anyone can survive five nights. This time, there will be no second chances." Frankly, it's terrifying—surviving the first five nights was challenge enough.

The initial Five Nights at Freddy's film, released in October 2023, scored a record-breaking $80 million opening weekend and earned nearly $300 million worldwide. The sequel, written by game creator Scott Cawthon and directed by Emma Tammi, is scheduled for release on December 5, 2025.
